Description

Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor of Education Degree;
Applicable post-graduate training would be an asset;
Must hold or be eligible for a Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certificate;
Minimum of 5 years successful teaching experience;
Experience leading professional development would be an asset;
Knowledge of Saskatchewan Mathematics curriculum;
Knowledge of Cree language will be an asset;
Valid Class 5 Drivers License;
Must be able to provide a recent and satisfactory Drivers abstract, Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check;
Must possess excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills;
Duties:
Work collaboratively with teachers and colleagues to share ideas and strategies that will keep students interested and motivated in learning;
Work with teachers to ensure that numeracy instruction is engaging and effective;
Assist with lesson planning, teaching materials and resources;
Deliver guidance on practices and changes to the curriculum;
Liaise closely with teachers and provide advice and assistance related to lesson plans;
Assist teachers to prepare and review lesson plans and/or unit plans, as well as engage students interest and help them learn more effectively/efficiently;
Develop and lead program innovation in consultation with the Senior Administration team;
Model lessons for teachers;
Attend professional development opportunities in applicable fields when required.
