-To recruit, select, train and support First Nations foster care homes within Montreal Lake 106A and Little Red 106B.
-Deliver the Agencys foster care program and ensure adherence to the Agencys policies and procedures
-Recruit, select, train and support caregiver and families
-Be knowledgeable in all the training required of caregiver (27 hour PRIDE, 6 hour FASD, 3 hour Aboriginal component, 16 hour First Aid/CPR)
-Develop and deliver thorough orientation and training packages for foster parents reflective of First Nations traditions, values, beliefs and customs
-Work effectively and positively to support regional directions that continuously improve or enhance service delivery to children and their families
-Ensure consistent adherence to MLCFA Inc. protocol for placement of children in foster care homes
-Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of each foster care placement
-Provide support for caregiver to develop planning in children'ss best interests and work to establish the supports required
-Monitor child placements and provide support, advice and resources to caregiver's as needed
-Provide support and one on one counselling services to children placed in foster homes
-Address concerns of caregiver and advocate for them when needed
-Receive and forward financial requests from caregiver to the necessary departments
