Assist family services staff in non-technical services by transporting clients, conducting home visits, supervise parental visits and make reports, perform routine clerical and related tasks as assigned.
Duties:
-Provide transportation for children in care including relocation/placement in foster homes, physician visits
-Supervise children while parents meet with family service workers
-Arrange and supervise parental and/or family visitations as directed by family service workers (monitor visitation time and make decisions to terminate visit if necessary, provide immediate oral reports of visitation followed up with written reports)
-Assist staff in site visitation and removal of children into protective custody which may require physical removal by lifting and carrying children
-Routinely check in on clients receiving in home services to make reports to family service workers on observations
-Provide routine clerical support to family services staff including filing, completion of reports, and documentation of home visits
-Drivers License and clean Abstract a requirement for this position
QUALIFICATIONS:
-A combination of training, education, and experience preferably in a human or social service setting
-Knowledge of the Saskatchewan Child and Family Services Act and the First Nations Child Welfare Act an asset
Additional Benefits:
-Travel $250.00 / biweekly
-Northern Allowance $100.00 / biweekly
