Description

Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre requires a permanent Vice Principal, Elementary Kindergarten to Grade 9, at our Kenaston Campus, for the start of the 2025-26 school year. The position will commence on August 25, 2025 with a full-time (1.0 FTE) assignment that includes 0.5 FTE administrative release and 0.5 FTE instructional time (asynchronous) to be determined by the Superintendent of School Operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

Online Courses and Saskatchewan Curriculum Delivery:
* Oversee the delivery of online courses by assigning teaching staff, ensuring they meet the standards of centralized course content processes and the Saskatchewan curriculum.

* Collaborate with educators to adapt and implement engaging, effective, and accessible online learning resources.

* Monitor student progress in online courses with Online Teachers and Student Support Teachers and adjust strategies to enhance educational outcomes.

Teacher Supervision:
* Supervise and support teaching staff to maintain high instructional standards.

* Assist with scheduled performance or appraisal reviews and provide ongoing feedback.

* Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement through mentorship and guidance.

Professional Development:
* Organize and promote ongoing professional development opportunities for staff.

* Ensure all staff members are familiar with and equipped to implement contemporary educational strategies, technologies, and best practices in online learning.

* Foster a culture of life-long learning and professional growth through the completion and annual review of Professional Growth Plans.
