Description

The Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame (SSHF) is looking for two (2) Summer Program Assistants  Education.

Our Creating Active Champions facilitated summer program provides children and their caretakers with fun, affordable opportunities for activity and learning.

The focus of the program is to let the participants excel at their own pace while building self-esteem and positive mental health as they learn through play, experience the joy of having fun and make new friends. After the program is completed, participants will have increased physical literacy and leave with low- to no-cost ways to stay active and have fun while also learning a little about the great sport history of Saskatchewan.

The SSHF is looking for energetic, outgoing applicants to deliver and facilitate this program.

Job Details:
In conjunction with the Education Coordinator and the Summer Programming Lead, the Program Assistant will:
    Assist with the development and delivery of our summer education program, Creating Active Champions, to children 5-12 years of age through in-person and outreach activations.
    To assist with the expansion of new in-house programs and/or education programming related to current and planned exhibits through research, identification and organization of program content.
    Assist with off-site activations and programming as required.
    Other museum work tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications/Skills:
    Experience or interest in working with young children is required
    Strong communication (presentation and inter-personal) skills are required
    Ability to work independently & as part of a team
    Strong organizational and time management skills
    Knowledge of basic museum practices and/or an interest in Saskatchewan sport history would be beneficial
    Valid vulnerable sector police check must be provided
    Valid drivers license
