We are seeking a detail oriented, dedicated, professional Medical Office Assistant to join our Gastroenterology clinic. The ideal candidate will have experience in a Medical office setting and possess strong administrative and interpersonal skills with a genuine interest in contributing to the care of our patients.

Responsibilities
-Answering incoming telephone calls ensuring appropriate resolution.
-Making outgoing telephone calls to confirm patient appointments, discussing procedure prep instructions and addressing other patient or hospital concerns as appropriate.
-Supporting dedicated medical office assistants with various duties (e.g. setting up referral profiles, preparing hospital booking forms, patient confirmation phone calls, various other duties as required).
-Coordinate and communicate in a polite and courteous manner with patients, health care providers, co-workers and others.
Required Qualifications
-Successful completion of a recognized Medical Office Assistant program with Certificate or equivalent experience is required.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Accuro EMR system with attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-Ability to communicate in English (both verbal and written).
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
-Able to work both independently and as a part of a team.
-Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records
-Familiarity with phone systems and office equipment
-Ability to adhere to strict regional policies, procedures and legislate
