Job Focus:
The Program Coordinator (1) will direct 12 day program Direct Support Professionals and ensure the acceptance of each participant as different and unique.
They must be able to provide ongoing support for the day program participants by encouraging emotional, social and physical support in keeping with the needs of the individuals supported.
They must be knowledgeable about each participants person-centred plan and ensure that the goals outlined in these plans are being met.
They must work with staff and volunteers to ensure that each participant is supported to reach his/her maximum potential
Qualifications: Ideally, this candidate should have the following preferred qualifications and/or be willing to partake in training opportunities as they become available:
Completion of minimum Grade Twelve and/or equivalent;
5 years experience in a related field, management experiance

A Home Care, Continuing Care or Disability Support Worker
Certificate or diploma, or related post-secondary education
Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills,
teaching / coaching skills, and relational skills with
participants and their families, program workers, peers, and
external resource providers;
Demonstrate qualities of trust, respect, and empathy;
Possess a good working knowledge of computer word processing;
Possess a valid Saskatchewan drivers license.
