Description

We are currently seeking a person to fill the position of CAD Technologist / Draftsperson to work with our existing team located at our main office 4 miles South of Melfort, Saskatchewan. The position is full-time permanent with a minimum of 40 hours per week. The applicant must provide their own transportation to and from work. Remote work (work from home) is not desirable.

Qualifications:
-    Proficiency in Autodesk software, preferably Inventor / AutoCAD
-    Proficiency in completing structural detail drawings (will need to provide examples of work completed)
-    Understanding of structural design and buildings, architectural knowledge considered an asset
-    Knowledge of steel fabrication / fabrication detail drawings (is an asset)
-    Strong decision-making skills
-    Proficient understanding of Bill of Materials and creating BOM deliverables
-    Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 products
-    Proficient understanding and ability to use Microsoft Excel
-    Ability to create 3D CAD models considered an asset
-    Exposure to CAM software considered an asset
Daily tasks:
-    Structural detail drawings
o    Converting a completed CAD 3D model into a detail drawing package for fabrication
o    Converting a structural general arrangement drawing into a detailed fabrication drawing set
-    Creating detailed and accurate bill of materials using Microsoft Excel or equivalent
-    Creating detailed structural building drawings
-    Assisting Engineers with daily tasks and on-going project lists
Personal Skills:
-    Highly organized
-    Ability to take direction from others
-    Work well in a team environment, but able to work independently on individual tasks
-    Confident in making logical decisions
