The Opportunity
The Fleet Services Branch within the Ministry of Highways is seeking highly motivated individuals interested in apprentice mechanic opportunities throughout the province.
Under the general direction of the Shop Manager/Supervisor, you will be working alongside Journeyperson technicians to learn and assist with mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance to all types of highway construction and maintenance equipment. Services will be provided both in the shop and field; therefore, travel may be required with the possibility of overnight stays.
Our Ideal Candidate
To qualify for this position:
You will need to be mechanically inclined and possess a second, third, or fourth-year apprentice certificate in the Truck Transport, Heavy Duty, or Agricultural Technician trades. Candidates who have completed mechanical pre-employment training in the field may be considered.
