Description

What is the role?
The lab operations are an essential part of HJR asphalt, providing quality assurance and quality control of the asphalt at our job sites.  The lab technician is responsible for various quality assurance tasks including coring, crushing, taking samples, and performing tests in the field to ensure that the aggregate and the asphalt is in spec with the mix design set out by the Lab Supervisor. We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can work independently and as a team to achieve results while expanding their field experience in the asphalt industry.  

What do we value?
Class 5 Drivers License
Ability to life 50 lbs on a regular basis
Strong communication skills
Ability to work in extreme temperatures
Knowledge of asphalt testing procedures and road construction is an asset
