We are looking for a creative and energetic individual to assist in the development and implementation of educational programming offered at the Mann Art Gallery. This includes leading gallery school tours, outreach care home programs, hands-on activities for community groups, art tent activities for the general public at community events, and assisting with themed Summer Arts camps. The successful candidate will work alongside the Gallery Educator.
Candidates with educational and practical experience in Visual Arts, Art History, and Education are best suited for this position. Previous knowledge or interest in Indigenous and Saskatchewan art and working with children, individuals with mental/physical disabilities and/or seniors is an asset. The candidate should be polite, patient, organized, be able to work with people of varying ages, capacities and backgrounds, and sustain excellent communication skills. Familiarity with Windows computer systems, word processing, photo editing software, and email is also important. The successful candidate must be fluent in English, but fluencies in French, Cree or Arabic are assets.
The successful candidate must have a Criminal Record Check & Vulnerable Sector Screening.
Eligible Candidates:
Canadian citizens or a permanent residents, or have refugee status in Canada (non-Canadians holding temporary work visas or awaiting permanent status are not eligible)
Are between 16 and 30 years of age at the start of employment;
Will not have another full-time job (over 30 hours a week) while employed with the program;
Must be returning to full-time studies in the fall of 2025;
