Description

Zagim Anishinabk is seeking a responsible and motivated Custodian to support Goose Lake School in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and community members.
The Custodian will report to the School Principal and work closely with the Education Department. This individual will be responsible for daily cleaning and maintenance of school facilities to support a healthy learning environment.
    Previous custodial or maintenance experience preferred, especially in a school or institutional setting
    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    Physically fit and capable of lifting, bending, and performing repetitive tasks
    Knowledge of safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment
    Strong communication and organizational skills
    Positive attitude and respect for students, staff, and First Nations culture
    Must provide:
o    Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
o    Pre-employment drug screening
    Must have a valid drivers license and or access to reliable transportation.

Assets
    Familiarity with First Nations communities or schools
    Basic mechanical or repair skills
    WHMIS certification (or willingness to obtain)
