The Research Project Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing research projects related to gender-based violence (GBV) in Saskatchewan. This role involves collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to develop a comprehensive understanding of GBV issues. The position requires coordinating research activities, contributing to detailed reports, and engaging with community members across the province to ensure the research accurately reflects diverse lived experiences. Research Coordination and Management
Lead GBV research projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and objectives. Oversee data collection and analysis on GBV trends and community needs in Saskatchewan. Align research with organizational goals through collaboration with stakeholders. Develop inclusive, culturally relevant methodologies, centering marginalized groups.
Data Analysis and Reporting
Analyze data to identify GBV trends and policy implications. Produce concise reports, briefs, and summaries aligned with ethical standards. Support funder reporting by ensuring accuracy and clarity in findings.
Community Engagement and Engagement
Travel across Saskatchewan to gather community-based GBV data. Foster relationships with local organizations to ground research in lived experience. Represent SASS at events to share findings and collect feedback.
Qualifications include: a post-secondary degree in social sciences, public policy, or related fields (Master's degree is an asset); experience in research project management, data analysis, and community engagement; strong understanding of GBV and marginalized populations; and excellent organizational, communication, and collaborative skills.
