Position Summary:
We are seeking a Full-Time Ice Technician for a seasonal contract position from October 1, 2025, to April 15, 2026. Reporting to the Head Ice Technician/Club Manager and supported by a team of passionate volunteers, this role plays a vital part in ensuring premium ice conditions throughout the season for league play, bonspiels, and special events. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Key Responsibilities:
    Perform seasonal ice installation: hacks, rings, in-ice logos, and overall sheet preparation.
    Hours of work will vary weekly dependent on demand
    Maintain all 8 sheets to the highest standards through regular scraping, pebbling, nipping, and mopping.
    Schedule and perform weekly and seasonal ice maintenance, including leveling floods as needed.
    Collaborate with the Head Ice Technician/Club Manager, board members, and volunteers.
    Support the coordination of league play, practice bookings, and bonspiel requirements.
    Ensure cleanliness of the ice area, including vacuuming carpets and cleaning rocks.
    Conduct regular equipment and ice plant maintenance, along with appropriate record-keeping.
    Assist with special event set-up and general facility duties.
    Support the bar manager as needed.

Qualifications:
    No previous experience required  Level 1 Ice Technician Certification is an asset (training will be provided).
    Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently
    Positive attitude and commitment to quality workmanship.
    Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
    Must pass an RCMP Vulnerable Sector Check.
    Familiarity with curling is an asset but not required.
