Southeast College is currently recruiting one faculty position within the Practical Nursing program based out of Weyburn.
The ideal candidate will bring these qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related field
- Eligible for registration (active status) with CRNS
- Minimum of two years recent clinical/teaching experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Current TLR certificate
- Ability to apply the theory, practices and principles of the science of nursing and adult education
- Small group facilitation skills and leading, modeling and teaching interaction skills
- Ability to arrange, maintain and evaluate resources
- Ability to travel (overnight, occasionally as required)
Duties:
- Instruction of Practical Nursing program as outlined by curriculum
- Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to adult learning
- Assist with set up and take down of simulation labs
- Teach, coach, and supervise nursing students in classroom, simulation lab and clinical settings
- Evaluate student progress and provide feedback; administer and correct exams, monitor and record student attendance, tabulate marks
- Participate in program activities
- Work with and can substitute teach for part-time faculty if required
