Montreal Lake Child and Family Agency (MLCFA) is seeking a highly energetic Executive Director:
The Executive Director is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and administration of the MLCFA. This includes strategic oversight of programs, services, finances, personnel, and public relations. The Executive Director works closely with the Board of Directors to implement policies, manage funding agreements, ensure compliance with relevant legislation, and support the well-being of children and families in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Governance & Administration: Support and advise the Board, facilitate meetings, implement policies, and ensure compliance with tripartite agreements.
Program & Service Delivery: Oversee annual planning, program development, implementation, evaluation, and ensure culturally appropriate services.
Personnel Management: Lead recruitment, orientation, staff development, evaluations, and maintain HR records in line with policies.
Financial Oversight: Prepare budgets, monitor expenditures, support audits, and maintain financial controls and reporting requirements.
Public Relations & Liaison: Foster partnerships with funders, governments, community groups, and stakeholders
Qualifications:
Master of Social Work (preferred) or Bachelor of Indian Social Work/Social Work with at least 2 years of administrative experience
Minimum 5 years experience in Child and Family Services
Strong knowledge of Indigenous child welfare legislation, Cree culture, and MLCFA objectives
Proven skills in budgeting, planning, HR, and conflict resolution
Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Willing to work flexible hours and travel as needed
CPIC and Vulnerable Sector Check required
