As a Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes meet our standards for taste and presentation while adhering to food safety regulations.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in the planning of menus and daily specials, considering dietary restrictions and preferences.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety guidelines and regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely meal service.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when reordering is necessary.
Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes, feedback, and improvements.
Qualifications-
Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred.
Knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and safety standards is essential.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
A passion for cooking and creativity in meal preparation is highly valued.
Willing to clear food handling certificate.
