Key Responsibilities:
Financial Administration & Reporting
Handle accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations and general ledger entries in a timely and accurate manner.
Code invoices in accordance with budgets and procedures
Assist with monthly financial reporting, budget preparation, rental notices and CAM reconciliations.
Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with ASPE compliance
Maintain a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
Property Management
Provide support in the day-to-day management activities for commercial buildings in the organization's portfolio
Track, update and prepare documents, lease renewals, insurance certificates, notice letters and accounting information.
Liaison with building operators, tenants, landlords, banking institutions and legal representatives.
Administrative Support & Office Coordination
Greet and interact with tenants, contractors and visitors in a professional and pleasant manner.
Maintain electronic and paper filing system
Ensure office, reception area, supply room and other areas are maintained in a clean and tidy manner
Provide general administrative assistance to support supervisors and internal staff
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Proven education or experience in bookkeeping or accounting is required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required with a minimum typing speed of 45 55 wpm.
Computer literacy is a must
Experience with Yardi Breeze software is a plus
Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working under pressure with multiple priorities
Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
