Suncrest College welcomes applications for the position of Research Student - Legion Historian. This is a part-time (35 hours per week), term position, based in Yorkton, SK.  The term for this position will run from June 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025.

The Opportunity:
This position is primarily responsible for assisting with all aspects of the Mitacs Business Strategy project as assigned. The Legion Historian is responsible for gathering both existing and new information on veterans from and connected to Yorkton and the Yorkton area for the purpose of creating, editing, and coordinating the publication of a historical book, both in hard copy and in digital format. The intern will organize and edit the submissions for the book and work closely with members of the Yorkton Legion to ensure accuracy of the final draft and confirm that it meets with the Legions vision for the book.

Requirements:
- The minimum educational qualification for this position is equivalent to the admission to a University program offered at the College.
- Active student with a post-secondary institution or recent graduate (within past 12 months).
- The minimum amount of practical, related experience required to perform the duties of this position is is less than one year.
- Demonstrated experience working in a cross-cultural environment.
