Description

Technical Operations, Living Skies Housing Authority has an opportunity for a Mechanical Systems Program Consultant.   This new position will be in Regina and reports to the Manager, Technical Programs.  The Mechanical Systems Program Consultant is responsible for applying technical engineering principles and procedures to support and prolong the life of Saskatchewan Housing Corporations mechanical system assets.  The position will also work closely with the Living Skies Housing Authoritys Training Consultant, providing subject matter expertise in the development, refresh and delivery of training materials for mechanical systems as well as other maintenance topics.

THE POSITION WILL:

Provide guidance and technical support to the Mechanical Systems Specialists (MSS) unit for the planning and implementation of major mechanical system renovations and repairs of complex HVAC systems.  This includes review and oversite of design drawings and specifications
Conduct technical research and develop preventive maintenance planning and procedures.
Provide input and direction for the development of mechanical systems training and other HTO led training for the Housing network.

YOU WILL BRING:
Proven ability to perform detailed review and analysis of mechanical systems design, equipment, and components for residential and commercial applications.
Ability to communicate effectively with mechanical engineers, contractors and operators.
Ability to provide contract administration, prepare budgets, financial estimates and operational reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience working with the design and construction of mechanical building systems.  Completion of post-secondary education at a university, technical or trade school with courses in mechanical engineering is a requirement.
