Description

Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Part-Time Student Meat Clerk at our Food Store location in Nipawin,
Saskatchewan.

Reporting to the Assistant Meat Team Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following:
Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operatives vision, mission, values, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels.
Stock meat cases and displays in a well organized and visually appealing manner according to department standards.
Prepare products to Co-op standards, package and label finished products, maintain production records.
Monitor code dates to always ensure the freshest inventory on the shelf; follow first in, first out (FIFO).
Support and follow the Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.
Ensure a culture of safety while maximizing operational efficiency.
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and equipment.
Receive and organize deliveries of meat products.

Who you are:
You must be currently enrolled student, high school or post secondary; previous retail, grocery, or food handling experience would be considered assets.
You are well organized and capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum amount of supervision.
You are honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented, and strive to be the best in the work that you do.
You can fulfill physical job requirements; able to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 40lbs regularly and larger weights periodically, work will involve exposure to cold temperatures in refrigerated and freezer areas.
You are familiar or willing to learn Food Safe procedures and practices.
You have a flexible work schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
