The Rural Municipality of Lake Johnston No. 102 currently has a job opening for the position of ADMINISTRATOR. This position reports directly to Council and is responsible for all administrative duties in the office in accordance with the Provincial legislation as well as Bylaws and policies as set by Council.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing and organizing materials for monthly Council meetings. (agenda, minutes, resolutions, bylaws, financial information).
- Daily accounting duties including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, receipting and bank deposits;
- Interacting with ratepayers and the public via telephone, email, written correspondence, social media, and in person;
The successful candidate will obtain, or be willing to obtain, the following:
- Rural C Certificate as issued by the RMAA;
- Certificate in Local Government Administration or equivalent;
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines;
- Be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment;
- Must be bondable.
Council is willing to assist the successful candidate with the costs of the University classes needed to obtain the Certificate in Local Government Administration. In addition, a mentor will be available for training as required.
