Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic teachers to join our staff. This is an excellent
opportunity for a passionate educator to make an immediate impact in our school community.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards while incorporating
Indigenous perspectives and knowledge.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs.
Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning goals.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to promote student success.
Participate in professional development opportunities and collaborate with colleagues to
enhance teaching practices.
Engage with the community and involve families in the educational process.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in education or a related field.
Valid teaching certification
Experience teaching, preferably in a First Nations or Indigenous context.
Strong understanding of Indigenous culture, languages, and educational practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to fostering a culturally responsive learning environment.
Required Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt teaching styles to meet diverse student needs
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Flexibility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed
Current Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check required by all successful applicants.
