Learning Resource Room Teacher for the 2025/26 School Year
Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Resource Room Teacher to support our Pre-K to 12 students. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with classroom teachers to provide tailored instructional strategies and interventions for students with varying learning needs, ensuring equitable access to education.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students r
Collaborate with classroom teachers to identify and address students learning challenges.
Provide targeted instruction in small group settings to enhance literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional skills.
Create a positive, inclusive, and culturally responsive learning environment.
Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
Engage with parents and guardians to foster a supportive home-school partnership.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in education or a related field; a Masters degree is preferred.
Valid teaching certification for early childhood education.
Experience working with young children, particularly in a resource room or special education
Knowledge of Indigenous cultures and commitment to integrating these perspectives
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
