B Pressure Welder
Department: Manufacturing
Reports to: Plant Manager
Full time: Monday to Thursday, 6am - 4pm

Job Summary: The position of "B" Pressure Welder includes, but is not limited to production welding, service and repair welding, prototype building and fitter welding.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

Weld on pressure vessels and pressure piping and boilers
weld pressure components
conduct repairs, modifications and retrofits
fabricate specialty projects
troubleshoot and rework pieces
maintain safe work practices through the implementation of company procedures and policies
ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects
meet and maintain company quality standards
actively participates and cooperates with internal/external ISO audits
assists in all areas of the fabrication shop where needed
other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

5 years experience required
Alberta/Saskatchewan certification for Journeyman/B pressure - SMAW
Mig/Tig certification would be an asset
Valid drivers license
Pipe fitting/welding experience would be an asset
Key competencies:

Ability to work independently in a busy environment
Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
Must be clean shaven when working in situations that require respiratory protection
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing in English
Able to work well under pressure
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to use a variety of hand tools
Able to read and follow engineering drawings
Organizational skills are a must  weld mapping and recording and documenting of MTRs
Work Conditions:

Fast-paced environment Manual dexterity
Lifting/moving up to 50 lbs
Extended periods of standing and walking

Salary based on experience.
