Description

The Town of Langham is currently accepting applications for an in-scope position of Utilities Operator.  The Town plans to fill the position as soon as possible.  

Priority will be given to applicants with their Level II Wastewater Operators certificate (collection / treatment) and Level II Water Operators certificate (treatment/distribution). However, if a certified application is not found, we are willing to provide training to the right candidate.

Scope:    The Utilities Operator is responsible to the Town Foreman under supervision of the Chief Administrative Officer.

Salary:   Salary Range: $54,558 to $63,668 (in accordance with the CUPE Local 5341 CBA)


Qualifications:

- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Level II Wastewater Operators certificate (collection / treatment)
- Level II Water Operators certificate (treatment / distribution)
- Valid Class 5 drivers license
- Physically fit
- Ability to operate or learn to operate motorized mechanical equipment.
- Join CUPE Union Local 5341.

Responsibilities:

- Water Treatment Plant and yard
- Wells
- Lagoon                         
- Storm Sewers                
- Water and sewer distribution System            
- Transfer Station
- Streets, Roads and Lanes    
- Public Works Shop and yard                
- Open green spaces
