The Saskatchewan Ministry of Health is seeking an experienced health professional to join the Licensing Unit, Continuing Care Branch. This role will have a strong impact on the hearing health services provided throughout the province in both the public and private sectors.
In this exciting position, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the hearing health portfolio. You will provide support and policy direction, program advice, and project leadership to the Ministry of Health, other government ministries, the Saskatchewan Health Authority, and other stakeholders in the hearing health area. You will be responsible for policy development and implementation, regulation of private hearing clinics, preparation of reports, and other duties as assigned. Travel is required.
Ideal Candidate:
Our ideal candidate will be an audiologist or speech language pathologist, with experience and expertise in clinical assessment, intervention, program delivery, knowledge of hearing programs/services in the public and private sectors, and a demonstrated ability to:
- Accurately interpret and apply applicable legislation, policies, and procedures, and review and amend legislation, regulations, and standards;
- Search for and assess information to develop legislation, materials, plans, and reports, analyze trends and issues, identify and develop options and solutions, and make timely policy recommendations/conclusions on a variety of quality and operational issues;
- Identify, review, investigate, and record relevant information and/or evidence through observation interviews, inquiries, and inspections; and more!
