Description

What youll do: Reporting to the Food Division Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
To oversee the daily management, ensuring adherence to safe food handling, merchandising standards, marketing efforts, Team Member appearance, and housekeeping standards;
To provide demonstrated, professional leadership and direction to the team to create an ongoing, positive, highly motivated workforce within the Deli;
To ensure high level of customer service is provided at all times;
To prepare, administer and be responsible for sales, margin, expenses, inventory and SPEH of the Deli;
To be responsible for ordering products and supplies according to needs;
Ensure claims, invoices and all other paper work is done timely, accurately and meets policy and procedure;
To be responsible for and work with Human Resources on employee relations matters including hiring, training and development, performance management, recognition and discipline;
To be responsible for the adherence and enforcement of Meadow Lake Co-op Policies & Procedures and the loss prevention program;
Provide demonstrated leadership and participate in all OH&S requirements, ensuring Team Members are knowledgeable about the compliance with OH&S policies, procedures and legislation;
Other duties as assigned.
Who you are: You are passionate about a career in the Food/Retail industry and:
You have the ability to work independently and take direction when required;
You have previous retail supervisory experience: a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered;
Youre familiar with retail operations and food safety standards;
Applicants must be available to work all shifts required;
Must also be available for calls after hours & emergencies.
