Wheatland Regional Centre is seeking a full-time Finance Administrator who is accountable for all financial responsibilities including administering payroll and employee benefits, billing, account receivable and account payable, creating financial reports, depositing funds and reconciling bank statements, submitting all payments, following legislative requirements.
The Finance Administrator reports to the Executive Director and works closely with the Office Administrator.
The preferred qualifications include the following:
* A 2-year post-secondary accounting certificate and/or the equivalent of training and experience in a related field.
* A minimum of 3 to 5 years of related accounting experience and preference for experience in a not-for-profit organization
* Experience with current accounting software program (Quickbooks)
* Possesses an understanding of financial/accounting principles and industry standards
* Thorough understanding of capital and reserve accounting
* Proficiency in the use of computers using the full range of Microsoft Office software (i.e. excel, WORD, etc.)
* Strong knowledge of fiscal management and responsibility, financial protocols, and reporting procedures to funders
* A valid Saskatchewan Class V drivers license
Clean criminal record check for the vulnerable sector
Willing to learn First Aid, CPR, WHMIS and other related skill training courses
