Secondary Science Teacher
The Mihkhoskiwakak Nehiyawak Education Authority (MNEA) invites applications for a passionate and dedicated Secondary Science Teacher. Located approximately one hour east of Nipawin on Highway 55, MNEA is committed to delivering education that is both academically rigorous and deeply rooted in the cultural lifeways and practices of the Red Earth Cree Nation.

About Us:
MNEA emphasizes relevance in teaching practices while honoring and integrating Mihkhoskiwakak Nehiyawak Indigenous knowledge and ways of knowing. Our Science program reflects this commitment, blending Western scientific principles with traditional Cree perspectives.

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Principal, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a well-planned and culturally responsive Science program.

Courses to be taught include:
Science 10
Health Science 20
Biology 30

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Education with a major or minor in Science
Valid Saskatchewan teaching certificate
Knowledge of or willingness to learn about Cree culture, language, and traditional knowledge systems
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Experience working in Indigenous communities is an asset
