Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Full-Time Meat Cutter Trainee (2 Positions) at our Food Store location in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
Reporting to the Meat Team Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following:
Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operatives vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels.
Learn to cut, trim, grind and prepare various cuts of meat according to customer requests or store requirements.
Prepare products to Co-op standards, package and label finished products, maintain production records.
Maintain and display all types of meat products according to department standards.
Monitor code dates to always ensure the freshest inventory on the shelf; follow first in, first out (FIFO).
Ensure a culture of safety while maximizing operational efficiency.
Keep accurate records to support procedures and inventory management including completing paperwork required for claims, damages and shortages.
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and equipment.
Support and follow the Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.

You can fulfill physical job requirements; able to reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 40 lbs regularly and larger weights periodically, work will involve exposure to cold temperatures in refrigerated and freezer areas.

You have a flexible work schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
You must be willing and able to participate in an intensive, in-store meat cutter training program according to established timelines.
