Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Guidance Counselor to join our educational team. The Guidance Counselor will play a pivotal role in supporting students' academic, emotional, and social development. This position requires a deep understanding of student needs, strong communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:
    Provide individual and group counseling to students to address academic, social, and emotional challenges
    Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to identify students in need of support and develop intervention strategies
    Assist students in setting academic and career goals, providing guidance on course selection and post-secondary options
    Conduct assessments and interpret test results to help students understand their strengths and areas for improvement
    Develop and implement programs to promote student well-being, resilience, and mental health awareness
    Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions and student progress
    Stay informed about local resources and services available to students and families
    Facilitate workshops and seminars on topics such as stress management, conflict resolution, drugs and alcohol, mental health, suicide prevention, and more
    Advocate for students needs within the school community and ensure access to necessary support services
