Description

The Winnipeg Street Pharmacy, Namerind Housing Corporation has a career opportunity for a Pharmacist. This role provides exceptional patient-centered care and service, ensuring all prescriptions are prepared and dispensed safely, accurately, and in a timely manner. As an ambassador for the organization who consistently demonstrates a high degree of professionalism, the Pharmacist is a trusted advisor who collaborates with health care professionals and provides patients with expertise, information, and counsel to ensure their needs are met. This role also ensures that professional services provided are in accordance with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals (SCPP) standards for Pharmacists.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares, dispenses, and controls all prescriptions and medications in an accurate, safe, and timely manner.
Ensures the highest standard of patient care and service is provided.
Educates and counsels patients regarding the correct use of prescription medications; ensures understanding.
Ensures confidentiality and privacy of information is maintained at all times
Fosters and maintains positive working relationships with health care practitioners, and patients and team members.
Ensures pharmaceutical products are properly inventoried, stored and handled and safety related protocols are adhered to at all times.
Participates in staff meetings and collaborate on new opportunities and process improvements.
Maintains accurate and complete health-related information/records.

Other requirements include: a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a PharmD degree, licensed and in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals, communication skills, teamwork, detail-orientation, interpersonal skills, adaptability and a results-focus.
