GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
The Quality Improvement Coordinator directly supports all aspects of the Quality, Safety and Strategy department (QSS). The position is a key member of the QSS team dedicated to supporting the advancement of the Saskatchewan Healthcare Management System (SHMS), the patient and staff safety programs, and enterprise risk management (ERM) across the Agency. The position directly provides for the effective and timely flow of information between the QSS team and the organization at large, as well as develops visual communication tools and other infrastructure necessary to support the progress tracking needs of the organization.
The position is accountable for directly supporting the development and maintenance of planning events, quality improvement events, risk management huddles and committees, daily visual management, rigorous documentation, and certification and training schedules to support achievement of organizational goals.
The position involves regular project work requiring a high degree of independence, creativity, technological applications, and personal initiative. The position serves as a change agent, influences the success of process improvement activities, and works collaboratively with all leaders, physicians, and staff within the Agency, as well as with other health system partners.
