Description

Levee Farms Joint Venture (LFJV) is a forward-thinking, progressive 6,300-acre grain farm located in Southeast Saskatchewan. We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Farm Labourer to join our team on a seasonal basis, with the potential to grow into a full-time position for the right individual. This role plays a key part in supporting our day-to-day operations and maintaining our fleet of modern farm equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work alongside the Equipment Manager to maintain and repair all farm machinery
- Operate and maintain a variety of farm equipment, including tractors, combines, seeders, and sprayers
- Assist with planting, spraying, harvesting, and other general farm duties.
- Perform general yard and farm maintenance, including pest control, weeding, lawn care, and upkeep of farm structures.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and carry out necessary repairs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and storage areas.
- Support daily farm operations in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and promote a safe work environment.
- Work extended hours during peak seasons (early mornings, long shifts)


Qualifications:

- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on repair and maintenance experience
- Previous agricultural work experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Valid drivers license; Class 1A license is a strong asset or willingness to obtain.
- Physically fit and capable of labor-intensive work in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and a team player attitude
- Commitment to safety and willingness to learn
