Description

La Renaissance Condominium, along the South Saskatchewan River in Saskatoon, seeks a dedicated Building Operator for our vibrant community. This live-in position includes a 1200 sq ft two-bedroom suite (water, heat, internet, cable included; electricity paid by employee). The ideal candidate has strong HVAC, plumbing, and maintenance skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to property care. Power Engineering Certificate is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily inspections and maintenance of HVAC systems
Manage seasonal start-ups/shut-downs (boilers, cooling tower, water)
Conduct regular checks on lighting, plumbing, and fire safety equipment
Operate and maintain seasonal equipment (lawnmowers, snow blowers)
Interior/exterior janitorial tasks to ensure cleanliness
Coordinate repairs and replacements with vendors
Oversee building security, parking, and common areas
Maintain landscaping and accurate records (parking, maintenance, occupancy)
Manage resident access (keys, fobs) and respond to inquiries/complaints professionally

Qualifications:
Property maintenance experience (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, janitorial)
High School Diploma or GED; Power Engineering Certificate or trades preferred
Valid drivers license
Ability to work independently and respond to after-hours emergencies
Physically able to lift, shovel snow, and do outdoor work
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
