Peacekeeper Kii Kiinahk Village
Wage: $25/hour | Schedule: WednesdayFriday, 3 PM11 PM (subject to change)
Camponi Housing's Kii Kiinahk Village is seeking a calm, compassionate, and culturally sensitive Peacekeeper to support residents and staff in our 24/7 supported living apartments. In collaboration with PHR and SCIS, this housing program uses a harm reduction and trauma-informed approach to serve individuals with complex mental health and addictions needs. Residents are often the hardest to house, requiring care rooted in patience, empathy, and respect.
The Peacekeeper plays a key role in maintaining a safe, supportive environment by de-escalating tense situations, resolving conflicts, and promoting mutual respect. Key responsibilities include conflict mediation, daily log and incident report writing, active listening, and collaboration with team leads or authorities when needed.
Applicants should bring strong interpersonal skills, conflict resolution training, and the ability to stay composed under pressure. Training in First Aid/CPR, Naloxone, harm reduction, and trauma-informed care is essential. Security or de-escalation training is considered an asset.
This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting marginalized populations and who values peacebuilding and community connection. To apply, submit your resume to d.chardtier@camponi.ca Only selected applicants will be contacted.
