Description

Flying Dust First Nation Health & Human Services division is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to provide leadership in the Community Health and Wellness Manager role. The Health and Wellness Manager will provide leadership and direction in planning, organizing, implementing, maintaining, and evaluating relevant and safe health/wellness programs and services. The Community Health and Wellness Manager will also lead a healthy lifestyle grounded in achieving work/life balance and engaging in self-care and promoting this to community members and health and wellness staff.
Duties included but are not limited to:
Responsibility for the overall administration of:
-    Leadership & Management; provide leadership and direction to program coordinators, staff, and casual and project workers.
-    Strategic Planning; establish and maintain the Terms of Reference for the Health and Wellness Committee to assist the Health and Wellness Centre with the development of guidelines for community health and wellness.
-    Reporting and Compliance; safeguard program(s) accreditation by ensuring evaluation criteria is met and incorporated into all aspects of service delivery.
Qualifications:
    A university degree in Human Services, Health Sciences, or a related field would be preferred.
    Experience with supervision of employees within the field of Health and Wellness.
    Be a member of the Certified First Nations Health Manager Association or willing to obtain this certification is mandatory.
    Years of experience and knowledge in health care management, social development, and budget proposals.
    Experience in the development of culturally relevant and safe programs and services, including monitoring and evaluation, ideally with a health and social services focus.
    Must be a positive role model.
