Description

Flying Dust First Nation is seeking a responsible person to fill the role of the Justice and Community Safety Manager. In this role youll have the opportunity to oversee safety operations, implement justice programs, and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance community well being. If youre passionate about making a difference in community safety and justice, this role is the perfect fit for you.
Duties include but are not limited to:
    Oversee and manage community safety operations within the Flying Dust First Nation
    Coordinate and implement justice programs and services aimed at enhancing community well-being
    Prepare and submit reports, proposals, and budgets to ensure effective program delivery
    Develop and implement new structures and initiatives to improve community safety
    Monitor and evaluate progress of safety programs and make necessary adjustments
    Organize reconciliation processes and community meetings to foster communication and collaboration
Qualifications:
    Knowledgeable on relevant legislations such as The Young Offenders Act, Criminal Code of Canada, Corrections and Conditional Release Act, Indian Act, The Canadian Charter of Rights & Freedoms and so forth.
    Experience on how Canadian Justice System operates, in particular, Alternative Measures for First Nations Offenders
    Excel communication, interpersonal skills to effectively facilitate meetings, deliver intelligent presentation, and mediate victim-offender disputes.
    Must pass a Current Criminal Record Check
    Must lead a healthy lifestyle and be a positive role model
    Demonstrated ability in writing and computer processing
