Description

To cut, fit, install and replace glass in residential, commercial and industrial buildings, on exterior walls of buildings and other structures and in furniture and other products.
Job duties:

Measure and mark glass and cut glass using glass cutters
Position glass panes into frames and secure glass using clips, points or mouldings
Assemble and install glass, mirror or glass products on walls, ceilings or exteriors of buildings
Fabricate metal frames for glass installation
Install, fit, fabricate and attach architectural metals or related substitute products in commercial and residential buildings
Install pre-cut mirrors and opaque and transparent glass panels in frames to form exterior walls of buildings
Prepare and install skylights, showcases and stained or other special
Repair and service residential windows, commercial aluminum doors and other glass supporting structures, and replace damaged glass or faulty sealant
Install sealed units, windows and doors to residential and commercial buildings

Employment Requirements:

Minimum of five years experience as a Glazier
Fluent in English, valid drivers Licence, criminal record check

Essential Skills:
The ability to use levels, tape measures, protractors and mitring gauges.
The ability to refer to safety regulations, especially during technical training, regarding lock out procedure, personal protective equipment, swingstages and other topics.  

The ability to safely use power tools, including but not limited to drills, saws, and grinders.
The ability to work at heights using scaffolding, ladders, lifts and swingstage.
