Description

Kopahawakenum Community School on the Flying Dust First Nation is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Grade 4 Teacher to join our vibrant school community. The ideal candidate is a passionate educator who fosters a supportive, inclusive, and academically challenging learning environment. This position is an excellent opportunity for a teacher committed to inspiring young minds and building foundational skills for lifelong learning.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to::
    Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons across core subject areas (e.g., Math, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies).
    Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
    Create a positive, structured, and respectful classroom climate that promotes student growth and well-being.
    Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and inform instruction.
    Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student performance and development.
    Collaborate with grade-level and specialist teachers to support school-wide initiatives and student success.
    Participate in professional development and contribute to the school community beyond the classroom.
Qualifications:
    A bachelors degree in Education; a Masters Degree or commitment to begin studies in a field appropriate would be considered an asset.  
    Saskatchewan Professional A Teachers Certification
    Registered and in good standing with the Saskatchewan Professional Teacher Regulatory Board (SPTRB).  
    Experience in working with First Nations Schools & Communities.
    Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate and engage learners.
