Description

Moose Jaw Family Services (MJFS), in partnership with the YMCA of Regina, is seeking a Mental Health and Addictions Facilitator to join the Integrated Youth Services (IYS) HOMEBASE team. HOMEBASE is a youth-focused, community-based initiative providing timely, low-barrier access to support. This is an active, in-person role where presence, accessibility, and relationship-building are keydelivering group workshops and one-on-one support on mental health, substance use, recovery, and wellness. The Facilitator will support youth in accessing services, contribute to relevant programming, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. This position requires non-traditional hours, including afternoons, evenings, and Saturdays, to meet youth when and where they need support most.

Responsibilities

Deliver group programming on mental health, addictions, recovery, life skills, and wellness
Provide one-on-one support and connect youth to relevant services
Support intake, engagement, and follow-up with youth accessing HOMEBASE
Collaborate with the team to plan and implement responsive programming

Qualifications

Degree or diploma in Social Work, Addictions Services, Psychology, or related human services field
1-3 years experience supporting youth in mental health or community settings
Knowledge of mental health and addiction services
Trauma-informed, culturally safe, and youth-centered approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Awareness of challenges faced by Indigenous, newcomer, 2SLGBTQIA+, and marginalized youth
Basic administrative and data entry skills
Satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
Willingness to complete YMCA Child Safeguarding Training
