Job Summary:
The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for multiple clients, including recording day-to-day financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and experienced with accounting software.
This position is currently offered on a casual/part-time basis, with a strong possibility of transitioning to full-time in the near future, depending on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Record and categorize daily financial transactions
Reconcile bank and credit card statements
Process accounts payable and receivable
Prepare monthly financial statements and reports
Assist with payroll processing and related filings
Maintain general ledgers and chart of accounts
Support accountants with year-end financials and tax preparation
Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial documentation
Qualifications:
Proven bookkeeping experience, preferably in an accounting firm
Proficiency in QuickBooks or other accounting software
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience with cloud-based tools and client portals a plus
