Description

Reporting to the General Manager, Good Spirit Housing Authority and supervising approximately 9 direct reports, this position oversees the capital asset plan, contract and vendor management, procurement, and maintenance. Key responsibilities include the leadership, management, and oversight of the capital assets, and property/maintenance services for the housing authority in the communities of Melville, Yorkton and Canora with a portfolio of more than 600 units.

What You Will Do:
Develop capital asset plans, identifying short and long-term budgets through effective planning, forecasting, and monitoring capital needs
Develop preventative maintenance plans, overseeing tendering, contract management, procurement, and general insurance
Develop a life cost estimate of all properties, prioritizing portfolio improvements to ensure sustainability and safety standards
Ensure the capital asset planning model is current and aligned to Saskatchewan Housing Corporation's capital asset plan
Ensure the portfolio is maintained to the highest possible standards and meets all regulatory and legislated standards
Lead, coach and mentor direct reports  
Prepare regular management reports

What we are looking for:
Post secondary education with five years experience and knowledge in general or residential construction, mechanical systems, capital asset planning models, and/or property management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.  
Expertise in planning, forecasting, costing, estimating, and procurement.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.  
MS Office Suite experience including Word and Excel
