Description

Great Plains College is looking for LINC Home Study Instructor(s) who are primarily responsible for delivery of a self-paced distance language training program for eligible immigrants to Canada who are unable to attend classes in person. Eligible immigrants enroll in the program to obtain or improve the English language skills required to function in Canadian society. Instructors deliver weekly instructional sessions by phone or online, as well as monitor and facilitate students independent study. Instructors work remotely from home.

Start date: August 5, 2025
End date: June 30, 2026
Total Contract Days: up to 20.25 (equivalent to 121.5 hours)

Qualifications:
-Bachelor of Education preferred; other relevant post-secondary education may be considered.
-Current TESL Canada or CERTESL certification.
-Minimum 2 years experience teaching LINC or English as a Subsequent Language (ESL).
It would be an asset for candidates to have:
Experience in distance learning and/or educational technology.
Availability during evenings and/or weekends for student appointments.
