MGBHLM First Nation is currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Education teacher to join Mosquito School in a full-time position for the 20252026 school year. This position will be under the supervision of the Director of Education and Principal of Mosquito School and will receive direction and guidance as required. Applicants must hold a valid Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate. Also to strive daily to fulfill our mission at Mosquito School.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and organize the learning activities of the class with due regard to individual difference and needs of the student.
Work collaboratively with other staff members to meet school goals and follow the vision.
Knowledgeable, genuine, and approachable teammates who support one another to succeed.
Demonstrates a knowledge and understanding of First Nations culture, and a willingness to learn and implement Cree language and teachings in the classroom.
Demonstrates the knowledge and understanding of a community school and involves the community and families in the school events.
Implement new methodologies and strategies to provide a creative, engaged, and inclusive classroom experience.
Experience with middle year grades is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Must hold a Bachelor of Education. and/or completion of a Physical & Health Education Program, Exercise Sciences, Kinesiology, Sport/Phys Ed, Outdoor Education.
Coaching and Leadership experiences are important
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of each student.
Possess a Teacher Professional Certificate.
Must provide a criminal record (CPIC) and vulnerable sector check.
Preference given to candidates having experience working with First Nation students and communities.
Knowledge of First Nation education issues, challenges, and delivery models.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Possess a strong work ethic and be dependable and reliable.
