The Street Worker's Advocacy Project is hiring 1 full-time Child Care Worker for our Raising Hope program which supports women who are navigating recovery from addiction. Located in the same building as our programming, our child care team plays a vital role in supporting these women by caring for their children during scheduled programming and as needed throughout the day. The Child Care Workers ensure that all aspects of a child's welfare are met while under their care and supervision. They will ensure the children's basic needs are met which may include diapering, feeding and dressing. They will ensure children are kept active, entertained and engaged in developmental activities. They may supervise playground activities. They will maintain child care equipment and assist in housekeeping duties and in preparing snacks for the children. Applicants should have completed at a minimum the ECE Level 1. We are looking for team members who can adapt to a dynamic schedule, understand trauma-informed care and bring empathy and understanding to their work every day. The hours of work are from: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Please note that this is an unlicensed day care setting and staff are not eligible for an ECE top up.
