Description

South Saskatchewan Independent Living Centre (SSILC) is seeking a management level professional to join our team as Operations Management Officer. If you are interested in working in a rewarding, fun, friendly environment with an awesome team culture.read on!

As a member of the management team, responsibilities include:
- Maintain a strong understanding of SSILCs operations, policies, programs, and procedures to provide general operational support to staff.
- Understand funder relationships and objectives to offer tailored administrative assistance to program managers.
- Provide hands-on support in preparing workshops, coordinating supplies, assisting with tradeshows, managing inventory, and lifting items (20-30 lbs).
- Collaborate with program managers to identify gaps and research grant opportunities, assisting with applications and administration.
- Maintain and expand resource materials for programs, including researching innovations (e.g., AI tools for surveys) under the direction of the Director of Operations.
- Submit monthly reports to the Director of Operations summarizing support provided across programs.
- Create and oversee volunteer opportunities, including supervision, through existing and new partnerships.
- Manage facility-related tasks: keys, passwords, access, liaising with landlords/security, growing room rentals, and making related recommendations.
- Schedule meetings and appointments; serve as an office ambassador by welcoming participants and visitors.
- Support coordination and delivery of inter-program events, staff development days, and community outreach initiatives.
- Ensure consistent branding and messaging across program communications and public materials.
- Assist program managers with evaluation frameworks and data tools to measure program impact.
- Facilitate regular check-ins with program managers to gather feedback on operational needs and gaps.
