Description

Key Responsibility Areas:     
*    Provide single session solution focused brief therapy to adults, families, and couples
*    Proficiency in a range of clinical theories, especially solution focused, client informed, and brief therapy modalities
*    Make referrals to other resources where appropriate and liaise with other programs or resources around case management where necessary
*    Seek appropriate consultation as necessary for clinical work
*    Complete thorough, detailed and timely clinical documentation

Qualifications:
*    Master of Social Work, Masters of Arts (Psychology), or Master of Education (Psychology)
*    A Registered Social Worker (RSW) designation will also be considered
*    A member in good standing with professional governing body

Heres what we are looking for in the ideal candidate:
*    Experience providing counselling to adults, youth, and families
*    Ability to assess high risk clients and intervene quickly and appropriately
*    Ability to recognize signs and symptoms of other mental health disorders and refer client to appropriate service provider
*    demonstrated knowledge and professional practice skills in frontline services
*    Must be knowledgeable of community resources to make the necessary referrals
*    Excellent oral, written, organizational and time management skills required
*    The ability to work independently
*    Effective decision-making skills
*    Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle
