We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Credit Analyst to join our team. This position will be based in Winnipeg, Regina, Saskatoon, Leduc, or Edmonton, and will report directly to the Corporate Credit Manager.
The ideal candidate will be a professional, self-motivated individual with strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to credit and collections. They will be responsible for managing an assigned portfolio and ensuring timely and effective credit decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of collection activity and client communications.
Evaluate and assign credit limits to new and existing commercial accounts, including accounts without preset limits.
Analyze trade references, financial statements, and third-party credit reports (e.g., Equifax, Sterling) to assess creditworthiness.
Set up approved accounts in the internal system and communicate details to the sales team and customers.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in collections, credit analysis, risk management, or credit management.
Strong ability to interpret credit reports and apply internal credit criteria.
Proficient in credit reporting tools such as D&B, Equifax, and Sterling.
Competent in using office software including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
CCP designation (Certified Credit Professional) or currently enrolled in the CCP program with the Credit Institute of Canada.
While industry-specific experience is not mandatory, familiarity with industrial or large-ticket sales environments is an asset.
Compensation & Benefits:
Starting salary: $50,000 $60,000 per year, based on experience.
